ICS6000 User Info

Main content start
  1. The IC is operated by users who have gone through our training sessions or have extensive experiences with the specific IC.  Nobody is allowed to operate the instrument or computer without the permission.  You can contact EM1 staff to schedule a training session.

  2. All users have to sign up on this website before using the system.  You need to contact us before signing up for first time or the sign up will be deleted.

  3. All samples for analysis should be in aqueous form and filtered with 0.22 um filters.  Unknown samples and standard solutions must be free of solid particulates.

  4. Sample vials and analytical columns/suppressor are provided if your sample does not require special column or suppressor.

  5. Cost: Because the IC has a relatively high maintenance expense we have to charge users for using it, however, since this is not a commercial lab instrument, the charge is minimal.  Currently, we are charging per time used.  Please click here for the current rate.  The charge is based on the time you use for running samples.

  6. Data: You can use the attached computer and software to do data analysis after finishing running samples if nobody is using the system. Running samples always has priority to use the computer.  Users are fully responsible for data analysis.
